🛒 Magical Must-Haves: The Best Groceries to Order to Your Disneyland Hotel

Planning a Disneyland vacation? ✨ You’ve got your park tickets, your dining reservations, your Mickey ears… but have you thought about your groceries? Whether you’re staying at a Disneyland Resort hotel or a nearby Good Neighbor hotel, having a few essentials delivered to your room can make your stay more comfortable (and help you save money along the way)!

Here’s a magical little grocery list full of smart, travel-friendly items that Disney travel planners (like me!) always recommend to clients.

🍿 Park Snacks = Happy Park Days

Bringing your own snacks into the parks is totally allowed—and totally smart. Lines can get long and food costs add up, so having snacks on hand is a total game changer.

Snack ideas to order:

  • Trail mix or granola bars
  • Fruit snacks or applesauce pouches (great for kids!)
  • Crackers or Goldfish
  • Chips or pretzels
  • Dried fruit or fresh apples/bananas (if eating soon)
  • String cheese or Babybel (if you have a cooler!)
  • Personal fav Bow Chicka Pop Kettle Corn

🧊 Tip: A small soft-sided cooler is allowed in the parks, and hotel mini-fridges work great for storing perishables.

💧 Stay Hydrated, Friends

Southern California sun + full days at the parks = hydration is a must. Skip paying $5+ for a bottle of water and order in advance!

Hydration helpers:

  • A case of bottled water
  • Electrolyte packets or sports drinks
  • Juice boxes for little ones
  • Refillable water bottles (tap water is drinkable + many refill stations in the parks!)

🧴 Smart Essentials You’ll Be Glad You Packed

Don’t let a sunburn or a headache slow you down. These basics are lifesavers—and often more expensive if you wait to buy them on-site.

Add these to your grocery order:

  • Sunscreen (a must!)
  • Hand sanitizer or wipes
  • Band-aids or basic first aid
  • Pain reliever (Tylenol, Advil, etc.)
  • Reusable utensils or napkins for quick bites
  • Ziplock bags (for snacks or keeping your phone dry on Splash Mountain!)

🧁 Easy Hotel Breakfasts & Late Night Treats

Skip the morning rush (and save $$$) by having some breakfast basics ready in your hotel room.

Simple meal ideas:

  • Muffins or pastries
  • Instant oatmeal cups (just add hot water!)
  • Cereal and shelf-stable milk or plant-based milk
  • Yogurt (if you’ve got a fridge)
  • Fresh fruit
  • Coffee pods or instant coffee (if your room has a machine)
  • Coffee Creamer

Late-night treats:

  • Microwave popcorn (if your room has one)
  • Cookies or sweets
  • Chocolate-covered pretzels (treat yo’ self)
  • Salsa & Chips
  • Alcohol for a night cap or for your mid day break (can’t bring into the park)

🧺 How to Order

There are tons of grocery delivery options near Disneyland in Anaheim. Here are some favorites:

  • Instacart (delivers from stores like Vons, Ralphs, Sprouts, Costco)
  • Amazon Fresh
  • Walmart Delivery
  • Target Same-Day Delivery (via Shipt)

Just make sure to check your hotel’s policy on receiving grocery deliveries—some will hold them at the front desk or bell services.

🏰 A Little Planning = A Lot More Magic

Ordering groceries may not be the most glamorous part of planning your Disneyland trip, but it makes a huge difference once you’re there. More time in the parks, fewer meltdowns, and less money spent on impulse buys. Total win!
